Donations make the difference.

The easiest way to support the Lanier Library is through an immediate cash donation by credit card or PayPal.

As you plan for your financial future, there are many ways to include a gift to Lanier Library. Income from similar gifts made by earlier generations now comprise over 50% of our annual income. Your financial advisor and/or lawyer can help you find the right balance of support and your long-term financial goals, including:

  • Bequest gifts
  • Designating Lanier as a beneficiary of your retirement plans and insurance policies
  • Charitable remainder trusts
  • Donor advised funds
  • Endowment gifts

  • Gifts of new, rare, and used books, videos, magazine and newspaper subscriptions
  • Gifts of personal property, including art and collectibles of demonstrable value
  • Gifts of professional services

Matching gifts can double or even triple your contribution. Many employers match a percentage of your contributions to the Lanier Library. Contact your employer’s human resources to learn if you are eligible. If Lanier Library is not a listed organization, let us know so that we can make an application to become a matching gift recipient organization.

Gifts can be made in memory or honor of a loved one or friend and to celebrate occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. We would be glad to notify the person that you are honoring in person, by telephone, or by written acknowledgement.

For $25 each, members may select a specific book to dedicate in honor or in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a special occasion. A book plate printed over a watercolor by artist and member Christine Mariotti will be affixed inside the front cover.

Members can select any book from the Library’s collection, except books already dedicated or rare and highly-collectible.
